Our aim
Looking only at an exchange's popularity or at a single fee figure is not enough to choose well. Our aim is to make the differences between exchanges easier to understand, so that readers can decide for themselves.
The ranking is an editorial assessment. It is not a measure of which platform is best for every person, because needs differ.
Step 1: We learn the sources
We start from official platform pages, published fee schedules, product pages, terms of use and public information released by regulatory bodies. Where a platform makes a claim about itself, such as how it holds customer assets, we attribute it to the platform rather than presenting it as our own finding.
- Official exchange websites, help centers and fee pages.
- Public notices and lists published by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB, or SPK).
- Legal texts and regulator guidance, read in their original language where possible.
- Reputable news and law-firm summaries, used as secondary sources and labelled as such.
Step 2: We compare by six criteria
Six criteria are measured with the same yardstick, and each exchange is reviewed separately. The criteria are listed below in the order shown on the site.
| CRITERION | WHAT WE LOOK AT | WHY IT MATTERS |
|---|---|---|
| Fees | Maker and taker fees, fee tiers, VAT and other costs | Costs differ by model and often fall with volume |
| Security | Two-factor authentication, custody practices, past security incidents | Safety depends on several factors together |
| TRY deposits and withdrawals | Methods, FAST support, transfer times | Matters for users in Türkiye |
| Crypto selection | Number of listed assets and trading pairs | A key difference between platforms |
| Ease of use | Mobile and web experience, onboarding | Important for newcomers |
| Extra features | Staking, DeFi, advanced orders, API access | Can shift a choice |
Each exchange receives an editor score that reflects these criteria. A score is a summary, so we encourage readers to open the review and look at the detail behind it.
Step 3: We re-check regularly
Fees and features change over time, so we re-check information at intervals and update pages when we find a difference. We do not claim that every figure is current at every moment. Where a number is likely to change, we say so and point to the official page.
Fee figures shown on this site are the published schedules. Your actual cost can depend on your account tier, the trading pair, promotions and taxes, so check the platform before you trade.
How we treat the CMB list
The CMB publishes a list of entities operating in the crypto asset market. Each review states whether the company appears on that list. In our tables, "Listed" means only that the company appears on this list.
Appearing on the CMB list does not mean a company is licensed or authorized by the CMB. We never use those words about a platform because of its presence on the list. Readers should check the CMB's own notices for current information.
Editorial approach
Rankings follow only the criteria on this page. We are not paid to rank, review or feature any platform, and the site carries no advertising or sponsored content.
Every platform is assessed against the same six criteria, and a score changes only when the facts we find change.
Limits of this ranking
- A ranking cannot reflect your personal needs, budget or risk tolerance.
- We do not test every feature of every platform ourselves. We rely mainly on published information.
- Rules, fees and products change, and so can scores.
- Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice.
Corrections
If you believe a figure or statement is wrong or out of date, please email us at contact@turkeycryptoexchanges.com with the page and the source you used. We check each report against official sources and correct confirmed errors.
